Enjoy a Live Concert at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center

Music is one of the few outlets for people, when it comes to a break up, a wedding, or even a birthday, it sets the tone and helps you relate to the many emotions you may be feeling.

For all you Rock n’ Roll fans out there, still jamming out to Springsteen and Neil Young, you’ll be pleased to know that legendary singer and songwriter Jackson Browne will be performing at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center.

This added show is part of a limited spring tour. Browne has been a major player in the music industry since the 1970s, having written and recorded songs such as “The Pretender”, “Running on Empty”, “Lawyers in Love”, “Doctor My Eyes”, “Take It Easy”, and “Somebody’s Baby”, in addition to being an activist.

Browne was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.

Tickets are available for $79, $64, or $59 per person.

Bacon, Blues and Brew Fest near Palmdale

Do you love the taste of maple flavored bacon? And washing it down with an ice cold beer on a hot day?

Well then, you’ll want to check out the Bacon, Blues & Brews festival coming to town on May 14.

It’s the celebration of an three of America’s favorite things! The event will feature dozens of restaurants and chefs from throughout the Valley.

They will be offering sweet and savory samples of bacon and pork infused items. Then, you can sample a number of craft beers from local and regional craft breweries.

Live entertainment will be provided by local blues bands.

The event will last from 12 noon to 9pm. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $40 for VIP.

Valentine’s Day Scavenger Hunt at the Getty

Wanting to experience something a little different from your typical dinner and movie date in Palmdale this Valentine’s Day?

How about a Valentine’s themed scavenger hunt?

You’ll get the chance to traverse across the grounds of the Getty as you partake in this adults-only, nudity-hunting scavenger hunt at the Getty.

On this comical two-hour quest guests will be searching for answers to riddle-like questions.

The person with the most (correct) answers will pick up some gift cards, backpacks, and more.

Previous art knowledge is not a requirement.

Choose from three different time slots this weekend to accommodate your schedule; Saturday, February 13 at 11am and 2:30pm, or Sunday, February 14 at 2pm.

The scavenger hunt is priced at $24.50 per person. Parking is $15.

Bowl while Watching the Super Bowl in LA

It’s the last and biggest game of the season, so why not get out of your Palmdale apartment and enjoy the game with your friends as you play a game of bowling and sip on some beer.

Located at L.A. Live in downtown LA, you’ll find the bowling alley just around the corner from the Staple’s Center. This free event will feature the game on 17 big screens plus, you’ll have a chance to win prizes and giveaways.

The “Big Game Viewing Party,” as it’s been announced, will be hosted by the Notice Network Association, ADMP Events and Chuey Martinez from KIIS FM.

Take a Scenic Excursion this Weekend in Palmdale

Sometimes you just need to let your hair down, and let someone else do the driving… or in this case, navigating. Head down to the Fillmore and Western Railway for a scenic train ride, not far from your Palmdale apartment.

You will be transported back in time as you step aboard the 1930’s vintage dining and passenger cars. The train winds through century old citrus and avocado groves in the beautiful Heritage Valley.

The first stop is in downtown Santa Paula, where passengers can visit the historic Southern pacific depot, the St. Francis Dam Memorial sculpture, the Santa Paula Art Museum, the California Oil Museum, the Ventura County Agricultural Museum.

With a layover of approximately one hour and fifteen minutes, the train will then continue on before stopping at the Loose Caboose Garden Center and Gift Emporium

Tickets for adults are $25, seniors are $23, youth (4-12) are $15, toddlers (2-3) are $10. Under 2 is free.

Take advantage of this event on Saturday, January 30, and February 6 and 13, from 12pm-4pm.
